A well made locomotive, this one has come to us with several other engines including an LMS 4F and Canadian Switcher - both in 3 1/2 inch gauge - as the previous owner downsizes his collection in retirement.
Professionally repainted in recent years, it has been on display, unsteamed, since.
The engine runs well on air in either direction although the regulator is currently seized open; on hydraulic test the boiler showed a bead of water on one superheater flue which will take up under steam and water collecting around the base of the dome.
Rarely modelled in this gauge, the last K1 we had was way back in 2003 - there are some pictures and further details of that one in the archive here.
