A nicely-made model of an L&Y 2-4-2 tank locomotive to Don Young's design. Although somewhat grubby and requiring minor tidying, the engine is very well-detailed and little worn mechanically.
Silver-soldered superheated copper boiler fed by injector and axle pump with auxiliary hand pump in side tank. Twin safety valves and dummy whistles, with functional whistle beneath running boards. Detailed semi-scale backhead with pressure gauge, twin water gauges with blowdowns, clack valves, sight feeder, pump bypass valve. Twin cylinder with Joy valve gear, sight feed lubricator.
The cab has a removeable roof and is fitted with opening windows to the rear, good interior and bunker detailing and wood-planked floor. There is a jack mounted on the offside running board next to the smokebox.
