A nicely-made GWR 4-6-0 to Martin Evans' "Torquay
Manor" design, the engine is in good mechanical order and runs particularly
well. The builder went on to larger things after the Manor and has a string of
fine 7 1/4 inch gauge locomotives to his credit.
Professionally built silver soldered copper boiler by R.Chambers with superheaters, working pressure 90psi, feed by
injector and crosshead pump with hand pump in the tender. Gunmetal cylinders
with slide valves actuated by Stephenson's gear with screw reverser in cab.
Mechanical lubricator, drain cocks rod-operated from cab.
