A Kerr Stuart Tattoo by Maxitrak to their Pearl design which comes in both 5 and 7 inch gauge versions its the same engine in all dimensions apart from distance between wheels so, whilst making a fairly small 7 inch gauge engine, it is large compared to other 5 inch gauge locomotives. Ive had a couple of these in before and found them particularly good to drive, a combination of large size and open cab makes for easy access to the controls, theyre one of the few 5 inch gauge engines I find easy to drive at ground level.

Silver soldered copper boiler, working pressure 90psi. Gunmetal cylinders with slide valves actuated by Hackworth gear, pole reverser in cab, mechanical lubricator.

The engine hasn't run for several years, its recently had a hydraulic test with a new certificate issued for same the boiler is in sound condition.
