A particularly clean example of Maxitrak's ever-popular "Sapphire" 0-4-0 saddle tank, a one-owner locomotive which has had gentle use on a garden railway in Norfolk, the owner a keen and accomplished builder of highly-detailed rolling stock (you'll remember the rake of wagons we had at Harrogate Show last year).
Silver soldered copper locomotive-type boiler, 80psi working pressure, feed by crosshead pump with a (large) auxiliary hand pump on the footplate. Gunmetal cylinders with slide valves actuated by Hackworth gear with pole reverser in cab, displacement lubricator.
In good condition, the engine is well painted and has some nice detail touches like the dummy coal load in the bunkers. Pretty much the ideal beginner's engine in this gauge.
