A beautifully made Midland Compound by John Adams of Poole, one of the great builders of the last thirty years - I had his Black 5 in our house for several years, a thing of great beauty (there are some pictures in the archive). It spent many years in the board room of one of the UK's largest engineering companies, however its performance in steam shows it to be far from simply a display piece - it goes just as well as it looks, there's a clip of it running in the workshop here.
I won't blather on about this one - the pictures show the detail finish, boiler has just been tested and is in good order, the engine is in fine condition, ready to use (or put on the sideboard and look at).
