An older engine, cosmetically tired and ready for a mechanical overhaul. The commercially built copper boiler by Chambers has had a recent twice working pressure hydraulic test with new certification issued.
Steamed in the workshop the engine runs OK in forwards gear, poorly in reverse. It requires new safety valves, the current ones accumulate. Hand pump needs a new union between locomotive and tender, bypass valve leaks and the blower gland needs repacking.
One injector steam valve leaks slightly, which makes it the more surprising that both injectors work beautifully from 25 to 85psi!
Complete with a pair of well made crates for locomotive and tender.
