A beautifully-built Great Western 57xx Pannier tank, one of a batch of three built by a talented engineer with many other models and full-size projects to his credit. I sold another of the three a couple of years ago - that was his own engine which was polished up to a show finish and spent its life on display in his living room - pictures in the archive. This engine has used but remains in A1 mechanical condition.
Silver-soldered copper boiler by G.B.Boilers, built 2004, working pressure 90psi, complete with all paperwork including manufacturer's twice pressure hydraulic certificate and last club certificate. Feed by axle pump and injector. Inside cylinders with slide valves actuated by Stephenson's reversing gear with pole reverser in cab. Mechanical lubricator.
Whilst it has a grate this engine, rather bizarrely like it's sibling, is missing the ashpan - I can only assume he didn't like making them.
