A well-made "Rail Motor", a design that impresses me every time one comes in. A combination of a short tender which makes driving particularly easy, a decent amount of weight on four driving wheels giving a sure-footed engine on the track and robustly designed, well set out valve gear makes for an appealing combination.
Silver soldered copper boiler, 100psi working pressure, feed by axle pump and injector. Gunmetal cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's gear with pole reverser in cab, twin mechanical lubricators.
Paintwork is worn in places although overall very presentable, the engine is in good mechanical order and runs well.
