A 5 inch gauge rebuilt "Royal Scot", a finely made model from a collection I bought last year. This one and a good Black 5 had been left on the bench part disassembled, it appears to be largely complete bar the valve crosshead guide bars. Built as a full three cylinder engine, it's particularly well-made, nicely detailed and runs beautifully on air - there's a clip of it here.
Silver soldered copper boiler, 100psi working pressure, feed by twin injectors with hand pump in the tender. Gunmetal cylinders with piston valves actuated by Walschaert's gear, screw reverser in cab. Twin mechanical lubricators.
The locomotive is substantially ballasted with lead to increase adhesive weight - it's a substantial two man lift.
