The designer, having got a long way with the build, didn't live to enjoy the fruits of his labours. However, he's left an engine which runs mesmerisingly on air, along with notes and drawings for the next intrepid owner's guidance.
The boiler had its twice working pressure hydraulic test when completed in 2004, with club certification issued for same.
