It's come to us as part of a railway we dismantled last year, along with two battery electric locomotives. It's had regular if occasional use in the past - the owner's grandchildren growing up and losing interest in the railway the only reason for its sale.
The engine runs well in either direction and notches up efficiently - there's a clip of it running outside the workshop here.
We like the valve chest doping plugs accessed through the running boards - we fit them to everything we build, should be required fitting on all engines!
