A well-made example of this 0-4-0 narrow gauge saddle tank design with Hackworth valve gear.
The professionally-built boiler working at 80 psi has a marine-type firebox, water feed by axle pump and injector, with an auxiliary hand pump mounted under the cab on the nearside. Construction is of copper, silver-soldered throughout. The engine is well-detailed with working brakes and cab-operated cylinder draincocks. There is a mechnical cylinder lubricator mounted on the nearside running board.
The engine runs very well and is easy to drive with its good-sized firebox and easily accessible controls.
