Until yesterday laid in a garden just outside London, John and I had a happy afternoon in the Spring sunshine taking it all up.

It's largely as removed, most of the fisplates yielding to a nut spinner and screwdriver although we did need to cut half a dozen joints.

We reckon there's something over 100 yards of track, 16mm aluminium rail on wooden sleepers with PNP Railways plastic track clips - despite the liberal covering of moss on some of them, underneath the wood is in remarkably firm condition, they had been laid on well-drained ballast.

There are:

  • 32 off 8 foot straight lengths
  • 6 off shorter straight lengths ranging fromm 30 - 64 inches
  • 9 off 8 foot curved lengths
  • 4 off curved lengths 56 inches and shorter
  • 4 off left hand turnouts
  • 2 off right hand turnouts

Turnouts all have point levers and are 56 inches overall length.
