5 inch gauge side tank to the Austen-Walton ("Bro. Hyphen as LBSC dubbed him) design. An older design which is not seen that much any more which is a pity, as it was one of the better looking 5 inch gauge engines, accurately modelled on an LMS 2F dock tank.

Copper boiler fed by twin axle pumps. Mechanical lubricator beneath front running board. Slide valve cylinders with Walschaerts valve gear, pole reverser in cab.

This engine has suffered from poor storage, although it looks rather worse than it is. Smokebox door is missing, although I've got a new gunmetal casting to replace it. Paintwork is grotty throughout and needs re-doing. The motion is worn and rusty, although it appears that it will clean up with wire wool and elbow grease. The engine runs well on air.
