Built in 2004, this quirky-looking 0-4-0 goes very well, quiet running and rather nice to drive. By this time the builder was experimenting with two wheel driving trucks, which certainly saves the cost of a pair of wheels although giving something of an "ocean liner" ride at times. Couple of Quells and a glass of water, I'm sure I'd get used to it.
Steel marine type boiler with expanded copper tubes. Working pressure 100psi, twin safety valves, feed by twin injectors. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's valve gear, mechanical lubricator. Saddle tank is stainless steel, TIG-welded construction.
