7 1/4 inch gauge Adams Radial 4-4-2T - stock code 11016

A 7 1/4 inch gauge Adams Radial 4-4-2T, built to the Dick Stockings drawings, based on William Adams' design for the London, South Western Railway in the latter part of the nineteenth century.

An older engine, we suspect the TIG-welded Steam Tech boiler is a replacement for the original. It's had recent hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued - injectors work ok but are on the large size, we'd consider fitting smaller ones which would be better matched to the boiler.

Chassis turns over freely, with wear evident in valve gear and motionwork which will require attention at some point in the future.

There's some video of ithe engine running outside the works on our YouTube channel here.
