A 7 1/4 inch gauge Claud Hamilton, a class rarely modelled in this gauge.
Silver soldered copper boiler, working pressure 90psi, feed by three (!) injectors, steam pump and auxilliary hand pump in the tender - you can't be too careful with this water feed business we always say. Truth be told, only one of the injectors is up to much and the steam pump - a well made thing which ticks over beautifully - has been hastily plumbed in and could use better piping and bracketry.
That all said, the engine runs nicely, the huge driving wheels giving a most sedate exhaust beat. It's been recently repainted (although the painter's enthusiasm waned when it came to between the frames and inside the cab) to a decent standard - it certainly looks handsome sitting on the shelf outside my office.
We had it in steam on the rolling road recently, there's a short clip of it here.
