Recently completed, the engine has been run a few times at his club track by the builder. In addition to our own test - expiry dates listed under the "details" tab on this page - the boiler also has current club certification with steam test valid until November 2022, hydraulic test until November 2025.
Build quality is to a high standard throughout - fit and finish of motionwork and valve gear is excellent, platework is neatly formed and riveted.
We like the little details on this one, from the hasp on the toolbox and smokebox mounted steam lance valve to the lamps stowed on the running board and neatly fitted injector overflow pipes.
There is a water tank included which the builder used to swap between raised and ground level trolleys according to where he was running, along with an electric pump for filling the boiler from cold.
The engine is offered with full certification, 12 months warranty, set of firing irons and a starter kit of coal and oil. It runs, as you might expect, just as well as it looks - there's some video of it on our YouTube channel here.
We would be more than happy to give half a day's instruction on the steaming, running and disposal of the engine to a new owner if required.
