A 7 1/4 inch gauge GWR 14xx to Martin Evans' well-regarded "Dart" design, a well-made engine which has been in regular recent use.
Silver-soldered copper boiler, 90psi working pressure, feed by injector and crosshead pump. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Stephenson's gear with screw reverser in the cab. "All present and correct" GWR-style lubrication with sight-feeder in the cab and regulator-linked atomiser valve. Vacuum brakes with gauge and driver's brake valve in cab.
Paint is worn in places through honest use, although in the main it's a well-looked after engine with much nice detailing. It's sat in the workshop this evening just outside my office door, ticking as it gently cools down after being run for the boiler inspector this afternoon.
