A set of cylinders, bored and faced along with end covers, for a 7 1/4 inch gauge Hunslet 0-4-0ST to Ross Harrison's "Lilla" design.

Sod's Law being what it is, a blowhole along with some smaller pits emerged in one cylinder when machining was well advanced - it's about 5mm diameter, 25mm from one end, as shown in the picture opposite. It could be filled and have no effect on performance but the builder - something of a perfectionist and with the facilities of an aerospace engineering works at his disposal - opted to machine the replacement set of castings provided by his supplier.

For those who are prepared to put up with less than perfection, these will save you the cost of the castings (currently £1285 + VAT) plus the not inconsiderable cost of having them machined.
