A well-advanced LMS Black 5 built to Martin Evans' "Highlander" design using castings from Reeves.
Work to date is to a good standard and comprises a complete chassis with all motion, axle pumps and brakes fitted, ashpan, running boards and cab, a largely complete tender and silver-soldered copper boiler. There is a quantity of loose parts and fittings including grate, water gauges and a fountain.
The engine pushes along freely, valve gear is well-made, wheels accurately quartered.
I'm sure you know what a Black 5 looks like, we had a particularly good one in a year or two back, there's some pictures and a video clip of it running in the archive.
