A well-built example of Roger Marsh's "Romulus" design, a large, strong engine ideally suited to the larger garden railway.
Welded steel boiler with expanded steel tubes, fusible plug fitted. Feed by twin injectors with water carried in tender. Cast iron cylinders, slide valves actuated by Hackworth valve gear.
Another engine from the builder of the Fowler Fen engine I sold recently, this locomotive was completed in 1996 and has had light use on the builder's own garden railway, sharing duties with his 4 inch scale Hunslet. It was professionally painted, lined and sign written when new and is in super condition.
Length (including tender) approx 7 feet
Weight approx 6 cwt
