An interesting old engine, a GWR 11xx "Midge" rather attractively worked over as a small switcher - I think it works, I liked the engine from the first time I saw it last year. It was originally built for a commercial railway, the whole thing has been robustly constructed for serious work. It has a ride on tender, with a seat and footpegs.
It had some work done on it last year in preparation for a boiler test which it passed. We've run it here and hydraulic tested the boiler - whilst structurally sound, it has a drip from the firehole door ring. Paintwork is tired, the chassis is in better mechanical condition than the cosmetic condition would suggest.
