From the same builder as the 4 inch scale Fowler road locomotive currently in stock, "Tug" is the 7 1/4 inch gauge version of Don Young's popular "Rail Motor" design.

Silver soldered copper boiler with superheaters, feed by injector and axle pump. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's gear with pole reverser in cab. Sight feed lubricator. Vacuum ejector with gauge and driver's brake valve. The engine runs well - there's a clip of it on the bench last week here.

The driving truck is fitted with a copper water tank.
