The previous owner, a boiler inspector for his club, kept it in good order - other than some minor paint scrapes, it's cosmetically in good condition and polishes up well.
It's had hydraulic and steam test in recent days with new certification issued, a new water gauge the only item required, the old one difficult to isolate.
On the track it runs exceptionally well, one of the best examples of this design we've driven. Free-steaming, the injector and water pump work well, it was easy to maintain both steam and water whilst running.
Complete with a slate truck style wagon.
