Underneath the grime the paintwork is tired, valve gear needs rebushing, the lubricator needs a more substantial drive rod and the hand pump has something of a mind of its own.
On the plus side, the engine has a decent boiler with both past club history as well as new hydraulic and steam certification, it proved free-steaming on test.
