This one has come to us from an extensive garden railway, along with several other good locomotives including the Manning Wardle "Chatham" and "Thomas II" currently in stock.
The engine has been in regular use until recently, maintained for the owner by a professional model engineer whose work we esteem highly.
The commercially built boiler was supplied new by Franklin & Bell in 1999, welded steel with expanded tubes. Feed is by injector and steam pump - the latter working effectively, if leaking a little steam in the process, the injector - impressively - feeding water from 30psi right up to working pressure.
The locomotive is fitted with vacuum ejector, gauge and driver's brake valve.
