More commonly seen as a well-known milling attachment made for the Myford lathe, this is the standalone version of the Amolco milling machine. A typically robust bit of British machine tool design, lots of cast iron, generously proportioned slideways, handwheels and leadscrews that feel nice to use, a well-made spindle. It's single phase and has until recently been in the workshop of a talented locomotive builder whose work has featured on this site on more than one occasion.
Spindle speeds 325-1600rpm
