A venerable old Bassett-Lowke water-tube boiler, copper barrel with all cast iron end and side plates. Based on typical nineteenth century practice, the later Stuart 500 range is a simplified decendant. Probably dating from the 1930s, the boiler has been fitted with a later pressure gauge and feed clack, the water gauge is missing its glass.
