We regularly ship engines of every shape and size all over the globe – to America, Australia and across Europe, with special arrangements to get locomotives to such exotic destinations as Tasmania (there's a rowing boat goes over once a week from mainland Australia) and Japan.
Colin’s the man responsible for making sure that everything arrives in a safe and secure fashion, building innumerable crates and boxes to suit anything from a Stuart 10H to a 7 ¼ inch gauge Britannia.
As an IT & computer specialist in a previous life and with a keen interest in full size BR diesels, he’s also our guru for battery-electric locomotives. Dodgy motors, faulty sound cards, freelance wiring ranging from "optimistic†to "lethal†– if it runs off a battery, he can probably fix it.
A stranger to the concept of "spare timeâ€, Colin spends most of his life outside work on his motorbike, trying to escape the infinite list of DIY projects kindly provided by his wife and two daughters.
