A dismantled corn crusher by Richmond & Chandler of Manchester. The legs aren't original - it would have had altogether plainer, angle iron ones bolted into each corner - and there is an old casting break to the adjusting arm, shown top left in picture "f".
It came here in pieces, however while I was making the tea yesterday David and Geoff decided to see how it all fitted together, hence the "loose assembly" pictures shown. A worthwhile restoration project which would consist mainly of cleaning, painting and reassembly, it would be a good size for use with a small oil engine or 4 inch scale traction engine.
