A steamroller living van, bought direct from Eddison's fleet in 1966 for £15. It's clean and dry inside, you wouldn't be ashamed to take your other half to a rally in it for a weekend. Inside there's a small coal stove, in later years the van was fitted with a stainless sink with cupboard underneath for pots and pans - there's also a two ring gas hob which sits beside the sink, with gas connection on the wall behind it and a propane bottle stored in the tool locker at the back. There's 12 volt lighting powered by a car battery, again stored in the tool locker - it also powers the flashing beacon on the back.
The van has never been derelict, it's in good order with no rot and decent paintwork. When I had my first Aveling & Porter I made the mistake of buying an old living van that needed work - in the end I sold it, not before having learned the lesson that a £3000 living van ends up costing three times that by the time you've dried it out, replaced all the rotten timber, sorted out the running gear and made new curtains!
Complete with A-frame, which is stored in the back when not in use, the van is ready to use - if you bring your engine we'll hitch it up and you can tow it home (or if you send enough coal, we could probably deliver with the Fowler...)
