We're not quite sure what was in the builder's mind when he put this gauge 1 single Fairlie together, based on an Accucraft chassis. Suffice to say we can't see how to assemble it so as not to resemble a running "exploded diagram" of the original locomotive!

That said, boiler has had hydraulic and steam tests - erratic firing was cured by fitting a new, smaller gas jet - after which the engine ran beautifully in either direction.
