One of a class of three locomotives built for the Penrhyn Slate Quarries of North Wales between 1882 and 1893, sister engines "Linda" and "Blanche" run to this day - in 2-4-0ST form - on the Ffestiniog Railway. "Charles" is preserved, on static display, in the Penrhyn Castle Museum.
This one has come to us as part of a single-owner collection of 16mm scale locomotives - fitted with 2.4GHz radio control for regulator and reverser it is in new, unsteamed condition.
Complete with manufacturer's documentation including test certificates for boiler and gas tank, tools and accessory kit, and transmitter.
