Now it's not often you get a chance to buy one of these. The number of times we've had cause to be thankful for this super piece of kit - contained in three fitted wooden boxes it's been used to prop open doors, support engines for photography (a Stirling Single just fits on top of the long box) and wedge things in the back of the pickup so they don't rattle about.

However, space being ever at a premium here at Station Road, we've decided we can't keep a good thing to ourselves any longer. Here is your chance to become the custodian of a classic piece of 1950s equipment. Comprising a beautifully engineered thingy that goes in the water, war-time pattern headphones, ancient tin of goop so toxic that it's rotted a hole in the can and leaked away years ago, tripod and an electrical box that came from the set of Quatermass.
