A finely-made model of a toggle press, mounted on a wooden plinth as a presentation, presumably on retirement after forty years dedicated service to the toggle press industry.
Presumably made at "the works", the model has been fabricated throughout, the mechanism is intricate and fully-functioning. The flywheel normally freewheels, one press of the foot-pedal causes the die-block to be engaged at the next revolution, whereupon the press gives one strike before disengaging the flywheel again. The dies fitted make a beautifully embossed "FGR 1960" onto a piece of paper.
