It's come to us from a prolific model engineer, a retired company director now in his nineties - with a house move in prospect, he decided it was time to hang up his overalls. It shared the workshop with another Myford - he kept one set up with three jaw chuck, the other with four jaw - along with the super Linley jig borer we sold recently.
An imperial machine, on maker's cabinet stand with optional countershaft clutch, indexable leadscrew dials, gearbox and power feed to cross slide.
The bed is in excellent condition, free of nicks and dents - the saddle runs without shake or tight spots from end to end on the bed.
Fitted with a three phase motor, it's been run on a phase converter in the past. It would be easy to replace with a single phase motor, alternatively continue to run either on a phase converter or inverter giving variable speed control.
Complete with maker's handbook, three jaw chuck, tailstock chuck, large faceplate, drive plate, oil with oil gun, touchup paint, Jones & Shipman boring bar, hand turning rest, spare drive belt, knurling tool and vertical slide in original box.
