A 2 inch scale Burrell DCC Showmans engine, built to Ronald Clarke's highly detailed "Thetford Town" design. The engine is up on its wheels, with crankshaft and gears fitted, platework including belly tanks and tender completed, cylinder block is machined ready for fitting. There us a large quantity of machined parts including much of the valve gear, crane tower and swingle tree, safety valves, brake components and assorted other bits. Canopy is well advanced and includes some of the brasswork to support.
The whole project is grubby and there is surface rust to some of the steel parts - much of the rest has been protected by a coat of primer.
Complete with a set of drawings and copy of construction manual. If you need inspiration to finish this one - or indeed want an engine ready to run - there are pictures here of a particularly good one we've got in at the moment.
