A well-advanced 3 1/2 inch gauge 9F "Evening Star", being built to the LBSC/Evans design and complete with a set of drawings (but not the manual shown in the picture - don't ask!)

Work to date comprises a free-rolling running chassis, gunmetal piston valve cylinders, complete with all motionwork and valve gear, a largely complete silver soldered copper boiler with combustion chamber and tender. There is a box of parts including smoke deflectors, a brass tender kit, nameplates, safety valves, various castings and other odds & ends.
