Part-built Alco 2-6-2 tank locomotive, based on "Mountaineer" running on the Ffestiniog Railway.

Based on a 2 foot gauge prototype, this makes a large, powerful model in 3 1/2 inch gauge, over 1 1/2 inch scale.

Rolling chassis with frames, wheels, flycranks, cylinders with pistons, rods, valve chests and guide bars. Complete flanged copper boiler kit with barrel, all plates and tubes. Complete smokebox assembly with door, chimney and petticoat pipe. Large quantity of castings, fastenings, Tufnol strip (for springs) makers and name plates, complete set of drawings and "Model Engineer" magazines covering the construction of this locomotive.
