A large collection of parts for a 4 inch scale Foster traction engine to the Live Steam Models design. A popular engine, it's straightforward to build yet produces a powerful engine ideally suited to rallying. I've had several Fosters in over the last couple of years, they always seem to go very well - at almost half a ton they are very stable, making them easy to drive from a seat perched on the tender.
The work completed is to a high standard, much of the machining by Live Steam Models themselves. Thus far, the engine comprises:
Completed smokebox with door, boiler ring and chimney
Perch branket with front axle
Spud pan and ring
All hubs assemblies machined ready for assembling
Set brass hubcaps
Laser-cut hornplates with all rivets fitted
Back axle with keys
Rear axle bearing housings

Complete set of steel gear blanks
Steering worm and wheel
Main bearing housings machined, split bearings machined, ready to fit
Quantity of other unmachined castings including weighshaft bracket etc.
