A 5 inch gauge GWR King, well-advanced although having languished untouched in recent years. It's about 80% done - work to date comprises a complete running chassis, four cylinders with Walshaert's valve gear to inside pair coupled to outside cylinders by rocking levers. All brake gear fitted along with brake cylinder, most platework done with running boards fitted, cab to fit and a roof to be made. The copper boiler is silver soldered and structurally sound, having had an initial hydraulic test at 200psi for 100psi working pressure.
The tender is well made and painted, it includes full brake gear and working water scoop.
Cylinder patterns and the original boiler formers are included, along with a pair of substantial storage crates. There is a box of miscellaneous bits and pieces, including casting for safety valve cover, a well made set of superheaters, nameplates, pump straps and eccentrics etc.
There are pictures of the finished job in the archive if you want to see the task ahead of you.
