A part-built "Simple" 0-6-0T, Evans' seminal club engine, with some good work done to date – it would make a flying start for anybody contemplating one of these big tank engines.
Work comprises a rolling chassis, machined gunmetal cylinders, smokebox assembly, a neatly made set of platework in brass - including running boards, cab, side and rear tanks – and a flanged boiler kit – the black "boiler" you can see in the photographs is a dummy, made as a space model to fit the platework around. There is a tatty but useable copy of the construction book and a box of assorted parts and castings.
