A part-built Great Eastern 4-4-0 to Martin Evans' elegant "Super Claud" design, the last development of the Claud Hamilton with larger, Belpaire firebox boiler.
Work to date comprises a rolling chassis with crank axle and connecting rods, machined gunmetal cylinders, eccentric straps and sheaves and weighshaft complete with motion bracket. There is an assembled front bogie, along with a box of parts and castings including machined tender wheels with frames, horns and dummy springs, chimney, smokebox door, a quantity of machined valvegear and motionwork including crossheads, expansion links and rods and an assembled reverser stand.
Commercially built silver soldered copper boiler by R.Chambers of Weymouth, for my money one of the best boilermakers working at the time.
Complete with a set of drawings.
