A new 2 inch scale overtype steam wagon to John Clarke's design, built up from kits to a completely-assembled, air running state.
Silver-soldered copper boiler with feed by crank-driven pump, injector and hand pump, working pressure 90psi. Twin cast iron cylinders, slide valves actuated by Stephenson's gear with pole reverser in cab. Mechanical lubricator. Two road speeds with differential, chain final drive.
Whilst it is true to say that these kit-built engines need a degree of sympathetic fettling to get the best out of them, they do go remarkably well when properly set up - I had one in last year which impressed (pictures and write-up in the archive).
There is a complete set of assembly and driving instructions with the engine, along with its original twice working pressure hydraulic test certificate.
