A ten ton compound engine, it has been the subject of a thorough  overhaul in recent years, including new barrel and tubes, gears and back axle. In good condition,  it's a particularly well-sorted machine - free-steaming and easy to drive, we  took her over to the Woodhall Spa 1940s weekend a couple of weeks ago which was  a very pleasant ten mile run each way. Paintwork is serviceable but needs work  in places, the tender needs painting following replacement of the axle (it's  currently in red primer).\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eRivetted steel boiler with expanded tubes, 200 psi working pressure, feed by  injector and mechanical pump with bypass. Compound cylinder block with slide  valves actuated by Stephenson's gear, Manzel mechanical lubricator.
