The previous owner believed it to have  been commercially built as one of a pair - there is evidence it has been test  steamed although from the condition of the motion it has done next to no  running.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp align=\"left\"\u003eSilver soldered copper boiler, feed by injector and  transversely-mounted mechanical pump between bogies. Gunmetal cylinders with  slide valves actuated by Walschaert's gear with pole reverser in cab, mechanical  lubricator. Up front there is a headlamp powered by a turbogenerator, with steam  feed from the dome.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp align=\"left\"\u003eUnderneath things get fairly unconventional, the locomotive sits  on a pair of articulating bogies with drive to all axles by bevel gears and  shafts - the full-sized engines had a mighty reputation for pulling huge loads  round tight bends and were used extensively in American logging and mining  operations in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp align=\"left\"\u003eFit and finish is excellent, the motion runs like a sewing  machine.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp align=\"left\"\u003eComplete with a purpose-built storage case and a set of unmarked  drawings.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp align=\"center\"\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Station Road Steam","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":54019778675029,"sku":"3785","price":2650.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1023\/0094\/2677\/files\/3785-1.webp?v=1779907065","url":"https:\/\/stationroadsteam.com\/products\/3-12-inch-gauge-climax-0-4-4-0-stock-code-3785","provider":"Station Road Steam","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
