On the rolling road the engine proved free-steaming and ran exceptionally well, with crisp, even exhaust beats in forwards gear, slightly less precise running in reverse. Both hand pump and axle pumps worked effectively.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    The engine appears to have been steamed on only a handful of occasions from new, and not at all in recent years. There is some work to do, as listed in our workshop notes:\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cul\u003e    \u003cli\u003eregulator leaks slightly\u003c\/li\u003e  \u003cli\u003esafety valves accumulate\u003c\/li\u003e  \u003cli\u003einjector doesn't work and its water valve is seized shut - we'd recommend replacing injector with a Reeves 18oz type and change pipework to suit\u003c\/li\u003e  \u003cli\u003ecab side angle coming apart, needs soft soldering\u003c\/li\u003e  \u003cli\u003ethere is currently no weight on front pony truck\u003c\/li\u003e  \u003c\/ul\u003e  \u003cp\u003e    Jobs requiring time in the workshop rather than significant expenditure - there is the potential to make a fine example of this popular design.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Station Road Steam","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":54019167191381,"sku":"12999","price":3450.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1023\/0094\/2677\/files\/12999-1.webp?v=1779902445","url":"https:\/\/stationroadsteam.com\/products\/3-12-inch-gauge-lms-2-6-4-stanier-tank-stock-code-12999","provider":"Station Road Steam","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
