Three gunmetal  cylinders with slide valves, outside cylinders actuated by Walschaert's gear,  the inside valve deriving its motion from the pair of outside valves through  Holcroft's ingeniously-conceived 2 to 1 lever underneath the front running  plate. It runs beautifuilly in forward gear, slightly choppy in reverse.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp align=\"left\"\u003eAn easy project to finish, producing a good-looking and, these  days, rather rare engine in this gauge.
